It’s Monday, which is the traditional day for Maggie updates over here at curiouser & curiouser. In keeping with the Maggie Monday theme, today, I thought I’d share some photos from her 1st birthday party, which we celebrated on her actual birthday (so fun!) this past Saturday.
We teamed up with some good friends of ours, the Paine family, for this party, because 1) they also have a one-year-old, Henry, whose birthday was last week, 2) they’re some of our favorite people, and 3) party planning was made so much easier by combining our efforts. (Fellow Type A folks out there: I HIGHLY recommend joining forces with a fellow to-do lister on an event like this. It was awesome putting it together with Christina!)
The party was held at Medaloni Cellars, a vineyard near us, and it proved to be a great spot.
We ended up having about 90 people there on Saturday to celebrate these cuties, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Both Maggie and Henry had grandparents from both sides of the family in attendance, along with aunts and uncles (and in Maggie’s case, her cousin Benjamin). We felt so lucky to be able to celebrate surrounded by so many people (family and essentially family) who love these kiddos so very much.
Maggie seemed to have a blast, too! Interestingly, neither kid was interested in the cake at all! Maggie ended up stepping in hers, and Henry sat in his! Ha!
(Here’s a peek into how uninterested Maggie was in her cake!):
And now I’m the mother of a one-year-old. How in the world did that happen? Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us this past weekend, both near and far!
