Maggie Monday (February 5, 2018)

Happy first February Maggie Monday!

This little lady had a social weekend. Kevin was out of town, and we spent time celebrating our friend Ashleigh’s birthday Saturday night (of course I forgot to take photos at that event, but Maggie had a blast seeing so many friends). Then yesterday, we got to pop in to see a couple of babies (my fellow Pure Barre teacher Mahlon’s brand new baby boy, Mav, and my friend Amanda’s baby Quinn) and then our birth class friends, Isaac and Matthew, and their parents, came over to play and have lunch!

Maggie learned how to drink from a straw (FINALLY — we’ve been working on this for a while now) and was initially surprised with the result, but ultimately quite proud of herself.

Oh, and in case you were wondering: Her fish face game is still going strong:

Maggie’s starting to enjoy books more and more, which is amazingly fun. For the most part, she’ll sit still to read (most of) one. She especially loves the ones that make sounds, like this Usborne Jungle Sounds book!:

This kiddo’s smile is the best thing ever, and when she looks at me and says, “Mama!” (which is only every so often), I just melt. I still can’t believe I have the privilege of being this little one’s mother, and watching her grow is such an amazing joy.
