Friday the 13th is supposed to be ominous and unlucky, right? I’m asking because that’s the complete opposite of how my day’s been. (Thank goodness!) This whole week, in fact, has been pretty glorious. (I’m thinking it has something to do with the amazing conference I attended in Austin last week. I’m still kind of floating from all the amazingness I heard there.) It may also have something to do with the weather, which has FINALLY been beautiful and spring-like here in Winston-Salem.
Regardless of where it’s coming from, I’ll take it! (I hope your week has been a good one, too!)
Now, let’s talk favorites, shall we?:
- First up: I need your help with a VERY serious matter*. (*It’s not at all serious. I would, however, love your input!) I’ve been eyeing Albion Fit’s jumpsuits for months now, and am going to pull the trigger (I have a gift card to use!). Now I just need to decide which color to go with! Do you think I should pick black or granite (gray)? Help! (To complicate things, there’s also a pretty sage green option…)
- One of the incredible speakers I heard last week was Brené Brown, and so it was a treat listening to her on an episode of the podcast On Being with Krista Tippett. She talked about a lot of the things she mentioned at the conference I attended, and it was wonderful hearing her wise words and interesting insights again. (There were several points she brought up that weren’t part of her talk last week, too.) I highly recommend listening to it, especially if you’re new to Brené.
- I love all things Rifle Paper Co. Everything they make is beautiful. (I’m an especially big fan of their phone cases, and actually just ordered this one yesterday because my current one — also a Rifle Paper Co. one, duh! — has gotten a bit worn out.) Another go-to for me: their calendars. I have one at my desk at work, and it’s so lovely. But my latest Rifle Paper Co. obsession? Their SHOES. Y’all. These are too cute for words. And just when you thought it couldn’t get cuter…they come in kids’ sizes, too. STOP IT! I can’t possibly pick a favorite, but I reeeeeeally like these, these, and these. (Oh, and these for Maggie, of course!) What are your faves?
- If you need business cards made, I can’t recommend Moo highly enough. I used them to create and print my Beautycounter cards, and they are BEAUTIFUL. The paper quality is amazing, the printing is lovely, and the process was easy.
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope there’s sunshine in your forecast. 🙂
