I’m not one who’s always trying new beauty products. In fact, I can be very resistant to change when it comes to my skincare/cosmetic/hair care routine. Not because I feel like I’ve got it all figured out, but more because trying out new products — for me — can feel overwhelming at times. (You know when you order something from Ulta or Sephora and it comes with alllll the samples? Yeah. That stresses me out.) I like to stick with what I know.
That said, I do introduce new things into my routine periodically, and some of those new things turn out to be awesome. So I, of course, want to share the awesomeness with y’all.
Here are some new-to-me beauty products I’ve been loving lately:
- Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. I can’t rave about this stuff enough. Every girl wants her skin to be nice and moisturized, but putting on lotion after the shower can be annoying, right? It’s cold, you have to wait for a while after putting on lotion to get dressed, etc. Enter this stuff. You put it on in the shower and you step out ready to dry off quickly and get dressed. I have the Monoi Oil version (which smells like honeysuckle to me) and looooove it.
- Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. Yeah, this product’s name is quite strange, but I really have liked this face wash. I heard about the brand as an ad on a podcast and am glad I gave it a try. Initially I felt like it smelled too much like a product my grandmother would have used, but I don’t notice that anymore. This cleanser is formulated to be extra moisturizing (made with a blend of five skin conditioners!) and is made with the same cleansing agents used in contact lens solution, so you don’t have to worry about it irritating your eyes.
- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed (Nude Pink). This stuff is awesome. I love this shade of light pink, and have been impressed with the lasting power of the blush, too. I guess it’s no wonder Amazonian Clay gets overwhelmingly positive reviews everywhere it’s sold!
Living Proof PdD Shampoo and Conditioner. Living Proof’s PhD (Perfect Hair Day) products live up to the hype. I tried sample sizes of their shampoo and conditioner, and definitely plan on buying the full-sized versions. The products are formulated to let you go longer between washes and improve the feeling and styling capabilities of your hair, too. I love the salon product scent and have noticed sleeker locks since giving it a try.
