Get excited, folks. As of this morning, Warby Parker’s Winter Collection is available for perusing and purchasing — just in time to be added to your holiday wish list! And, since all of these glasses are priced at just $95 (including the prescription lenses), they won’t break Santa’s bank, either. Cheery news all around.
Is everyone familiar with Warby Parker and their philosophy? As a quick primer for those who may not be, the company began with a mission to change the way the prescription eye wear industry worked. They cut out all the middle men and created a whole new system for buying glasses: consumers shop online, identify up to five frames to be mailed for a home try-on, select the winner(s), then loop their eye doctor in to confirm their prescription. Voilà! An awesome new pair of glasses or sunglasses in a retro-meets-contemporary style at an unbeatable price point. (And an added bonus: Warby is a one-for-one company, meaning they donate a pair of glasses for each one they sell. Makes the deal even sweeter, huh?)
I became familiar with Warby Parker a couple of years ago and ordered my own pair (“Ainsworth” in Walnut Tortoise) in 2012.
I’ve loved them, and hope to add a pair of Warby shades to my collection before too long. (I’m leaning towards “Everett” in Gimlet Tortoise. Thoughts?)
So, being the enthusiastic supporter of the brand that I am, I was thrilled to get a sneak peek into Warby’s Winter Collection last week and get to tell you lovely readers about it this morning. You can check out the full Winter Collection here, but I wanted to pass along my top picks from this “rustic meets modern” assortment:
I’m a huge fan of the “Durand” in Saddle Russet frames. The red accent on the base of the frames adds a great complement to the more standard tortoise coloring on the top. If glasses can be described as “cozy,” I think I’d use that word for these frames:
Next up: The “Edgeworth” in Sage. These seem the most seasonally appropriate, and I’m kind of in love with this green hue:
“Lyle” in English Oak is another favorite for me. The shape is simple, classic, and flattering, and the light brown feels inviting yet polished. Good work, Warby:
I let Kevin take a peek at the collection, too (duh!) and he was immediately drawn to the “Seymour” in Tennessee Whiskey. A great choice, to be sure!:
Visit Warby’s site to see the full Winter Collection and choose your own favorite set of frames. Which are you going to add to your holiday wish list?
Cameron needs to update his prescription, so it might be time for some Warby Parker. 🙂
Also, the only way the picture of you and Fulton could be any cuter is if he was sporting a pair of Wary Parkers, too.
um…Warby.
He would be too cute — and he would HATE it! 🙂
