The highlight of this week has, by far, been the weather. It’s made everything feel so joyful, right? (Even though this has been a BUSY week, the sunshine has made all the difference.)
Speaking of busy…I only have a few minutes to write this post, but since it’s been a minute (or several) since I’ve shared Friday Favorites with y’all, I didn’t want to let another week pass without sharing some things I’ve been loving.
So here we go!:
- The movie Eighth Grade is so very worth seeing. (I just Googled it to include a link for this post and saw that it got a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I’m not the only one who recommends it. Oh, it was also on Obama’s list of favorite 2018 movies, so there’s that, too.)
- I shared this in my Instagram feed recently, but wanted to mention it here as well. I LOVED listening to Johann Hari on Rich Roll’s podcast recently. He talked about the extreme increase in loneliness in our culture (ironic, given how “connected” we always are), about how we are so easily influenced by the things in life that really aren’t important, and about how discovering purpose and feeling seen can often be more effective than medication at battling depression. Check it out if you have time. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
- Village Juice (a.k.a. my favorite place to eat in Winston-Salem) now has a loyalty program!!! I have been wanting this to happen for months, and now that it’s a reality I just had to share it here. Get your stamps, y’all!
- Rifle Paper Co. recently released a desk accessories line, and I pretty much need everything. (Okay, not EVERYTHING, but eeek — this pen! If you’ve been here a little while, you know I love all things Rifle Paper Co. (and I’m an especially big fan of their phone cases…).
