The highlight of last week, by far, was having Maggie’s cousin Benjamin (and his parents, my sister and brother-in-law) come visit over the weekend. Benjamin is 3.5 months younger than Maggie, and each time we’re together things just get more and more fun. This was the first time the babies have been together when both were walking, so that took things up a notch. Things were busy in the very best way at our house!
Susan and I took the kiddos to Kaleideum (our local children’s museum) on Saturday afternoon, and they had the BEST time. The museum is great, complete with a Krispy Kreme donut factory, a Food Lion grocery store, and a huge Lite-Brite!
Every time we get these two together, I am amazed that Susan and I ended up with babies so close in age. I’m so glad it worked out this way, and can’t wait to continue to watch these two grow up together.
Maggie went to a well visit checkup today, and all her stats looked good. She got two shots (ouch!), but took them like a champ (along with a few tears). She’s in about the 80th percentile for weight, height, and head circumference, and all looks good and healthy. She sat so still while the doctor listened to her heart and looked in her eyes, ears, and mouth. I love watching her interest in people, and her curiosity about the world around her.
I feel so incredibly fortunate to be this little one’s mama, today and every day.
