It’s Friday (the last one in September, nonetheless), and that always makes for a great day. I’m so glad the weekend is on the (very near) horizon, and Kevin, Maggie, and I are excited for my parents to come visit for a few days, starting on Sunday afternoon. Yay!
This week has been a busy one, and I don’t have many favorites to share, but did want to pass along a handful of things I’ve been loving lately (especially since I haven’t posted a Friday Favorites recently — oops!):
- A friend asked me to make a vegan white cake with vanilla icing for her dairy-intolerant niece’s first birthday, and I was flattered (and, of course, jump at any opportunity to try a new recipe!). I have a favorite vegan (and gluten-free) chocolate cake recipe, but hadn’t yet made a white cake before. I tested out a couple of recipes to make sure I landed on an exceptionally tasty one, and this one was the clear winner. I know I’ll be making this recipe again and again!
- Apparently I’m 15 again, because I’ve bought a couple of dresses from Abercrombie recently and LOVE them. (Update: They no longer slap their logo on EVERY piece of clothing, and I am loving many of their styles!) This off-the-shoulder dress is the latest one I’ve added to my collection, and it’s adorable. (Oh, and right now it’s on clearance for just $24. Whoa!
- If you’ve been reading my Friday Favorites for a while, you’ve no doubt heard me mention my love for all things Rifle Paper Co. (I especially adore their phone cases!) Anyway, they just announced a Chatbooks partnership, and I am OBSESSED. They’re an easy (and beautiful) way to document your family’s life through photos, and are great for those of us who can be bad about getting photos printed.
