This time next week, Kevin and I will be in Hawaii! While I absolutely can’t wait for our trip — and am SO excited about time for just the two of us — I know I’m going to miss our girl like crazy! (My parents — a.k.a. Mimi and Papa — will be keeping Maggie for us while we’re on vacation, which is so kind!)
We spent last weekend in Asheville with some friends who live in Knoxville (so Asheville is a great in-between destination!), and we had a wonderfully relaxing time together. Despite having been to Asheville on several occasions, we’d never been to the Biltmore, so it was nice to get that checked off the bucket list. The house was beautiful, of course, but the grounds were especially gorgeous! (We just wished had been about 10 degrees cooler…) 🙂
Other highlights from the past week:
- She had her 18-month well visit and is growing so well! She’s in the 90th percentile for height, 83rd for weight, and her head circumference is in the 80th percentile.
- Maggie went by the Pure Barre Winston-Salem studio with me and LOVED IT. Like, didn’t want to leave. Walked into the studio before class and waved at everyone individually. Wanted to be held by everyone who came in the door. It makes me so happy that she loves this place as much as I do!
- She has a new favorite headband and wants to wear it with everything! I love it so, so much.
- Her vocabulary is really exploding lately, and it’s neat to watch her look at us so intently as we talk, then try to mimic our words. She does a pretty good job! I can’t wait to hear all she has to tell us. It won’t be long!
