Happy Friday from the beeeeeeach! We’ve had the best week here with Kevin’s family, and it’s hard to watch our time come to an end. It helps knowing we have another fun trip — this time with my family — coming up next weekend for Labor Day. I always love having something like that on the calendar to look forward to!
Since I want to squeeze as much quality time out of our beach week as possible, I’ll keep things short and sweet on the Friday Favorites front. Here are a few things I’m loving this week!:
- I discovered a new-to-me nail polish brand called B’Livinn (thanks for the birthday gift, Justin and Katie!), and am loving it. Not only do I love that it’s a natural brand (no “Big Five” here), but their color choices and branding are also amazing. I’ve been wearing “Always” this week and it’s such a fun shade!
- This blog post from The Blonde Confidential is such a good one for people who find themselves getting annoyed with the onslaught of friends selling things — leggings, make-up, haircare, etc. — on social media. I 100% used to be in this camp as well, and yet now I AM one of those people (I’m a Beautycounter consultant). This post makes some good arguments as to why it makes a lot of sense to pay attention to these people (and the products they’re selling). I decided to start selling Beautycounter because 1.) it’s a brand I believe in, and I wanted to share it with others, and 2.) after a lot of hard work, it’s allowing me to bring in additional income that’s super helpful these days, with a new baby at home and as we work to pay off student loan debt. I’d encourage you to read it if you were like I was a few months ago, avoiding those posts and online socials without even giving the people behind them a chance to tell you more.
- I’m getting into almond milk yogurt these days, and am liking the Silk Plain Almond Dairy-Free Yogurt a lot! (I like to mix it with hemp hearts, almond butter, peaches or mango, and some granola. YUUUUUM!) Fellow non-dairy yogurt fans out there: What are some of your favorite brands? (I think I prefer almond milk yogurt to coconut milk yogurt, mainly from a texture standpoint.)
