Happy weekend eve! Hope it’s been a good week for everyone. It’s been HOT here in Winston, but I was glad to hear on today’s weather report that the weekend should be on the milder side (re: low to mid-80s). I’ll take it after all these 95+ degree days!
Let’s jump right into some Friday Favorites, shall we?:
- I always love trying new recipes (especially recipes for baked goods!), and when those recipes are healthy I’m even more on board. Minimalist Baker is a go-to for me for easy recipes you can always feel good about eating. Last weekend, I whipped up a batch of her vegan Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, and they were GOOD. Almond butter and coconut/coconut oil were key ingredients (SUCH a good combo), but it also called for aquafaba, which I hadn’t heard of, much less made! Turns out it’s an egg substitute made of whipped chickpea brine. Who knew? It was fun to try out a completely new baking ingredient on that front.
- I snagged this adorable tassel dress from LOFT during a sale that was going on last week (40% off, holla!) and loved breaking it in at work this week. It’s comfy and summery and simple, but with just a pop of flair with the tassels. LOVE.
- Kind of along the same lines as tassels, I’m loving me some fringe-y earrings lately. I don’t have a pair yet, but I’ve been eyeing several. (Y’all help me pick some out!) Here are some options:

- And to end on an upbeat note, this new Cheerios ad (from agency 72andSunny) is SO fun and catchy. I can’t stop watching it!
