Friday Favorites (August 17, 2018)

All day yesterday, I thought it was Friday. Nope. But TODAY? Today is, in fact, the end of the work week. My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew are coming to town this weekend, and I can’t wait to see them! We always have the best time together, and I’m so thankful that Kevin and I have family that we love to be around.

This week, I just have a handful of favorites to pass along:

Triad-area readers: I have a favorite new nail salon, SNS Nails & Spa. It’s right by the new Publix in Clemmons, and it’s just, well, the best. The people are great, the salon is impeccably clean, and they do incredible work. I have gotten two SNS manicures there (my longest lasting ones by far) and one regular pedicure (WONDERFUL). If you’re in Winston, it’s definitely worth the drive to Clemmons. (I work in Lewisville, so I discovered it when looking for a lunchtime manicure. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it!)

I’ve shared a bit about my inability to fall asleep lately (SO frustrating), and am happy to report that I think I’ve found a solution: Natural Vitality Natural Calm Calmful Sleep Magnesium Anti Stress Extra Sleep Support. Not only is it working well for me (someone who is typically a great sleeper but is going through some weird phase), but it also is working well for Kevin (who is a historically bad sleeper). I combine a teaspoon of this stuff with about an ounce of hot water, stir to dissolve, then add a few more ounces of cold water and drink it up. (It tastes pretty good, too!)

One of my favorite clothing brands for Maggie is Tea Collection, and earlier this week I bought her a few items for fall that I am SO excited about. I’m especially over the moon about this embroidered romper, this two-piece outfit, and these puffin pajamas. I can’t wait to show them to Maggie, because she genuinely delights in new clothes, shoes, and accessories and gets so excited about them. It’s the cutest thing!
