Favorite New-To-Me Beauty Products

As I’ve shared here on Curiouser & Curiouser before, I’m a Beautycounter consultant (I wanted to be able to share the high-quality Beautycounter products I’d grown to love with other women), but that doesn’t mean I exclusively use this brand when it comes to skincare and beauty products. I’ve discovered a few new-to-me offerings that I thought were definitely worth sharing with you lovely readers! (I do have a few new Beautycounter loves to share as well — those are at the end!):

  • SNS Nails. Y’all. I raved about this manicure option in a recent Friday Favorites post, but I just needed to talk about it again here. I’ve had this done three times now, and it’s truly incredible. Not only does this color last and last, it’s safer to use than gel nails and it actually improves the health of your nails while it’s on. And it WILL NOT CHIP, no matter how many times you wash your hair, use cleaning products, wash dishes, etc. (you know, all the things that tend to ruin manicures). I used to paint my nails daily, but that’s not so doable these days with a newborn. SNS is my new favorite nail color option, for sure, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Here in Winston-Salem, I get my SNS nails done at Elite Nails in the Whole Foods shopping center. (I got this most recent color done two weeks ago, and it’s still going strong.):

  • Lipsense. Have you been hearing about this stuff all over your social media feeds? I had, and it piqued my interest. I finally pulled the trigger and bought some Lipsense color (I went with Pink Champagne for my first shade) from a college friend of mine. The verdict? I’m HOOKED. This stuff is amazing. It doesn’t smudge, it stays on forever, and it comes in TONS of great shades. I’ve already ordered a second color!

  • Rodan + Fields Last Boost. This is another product I was seeing allllll over my Facebook feed a few months ago, and since I’ve always been the not-so-proud owner of pretty wimpy eyelashes, I paid attention. I didn’t know if this was a gimmicky product or whether it would actually deliver on its promise to lengthen lashes significantly, but I eventually opted to take a gamble and give it a try. I’m SO GLAD I DID, because this stuff has most definitely grown my lashes over the last few months. Kevin didn’t know I was using it and asked me recently what was different about my eyes because they looked extra pretty. I don’t have a corresponding before shot (fail on my part!), but here’s a picture of my lashes (with mascara) these days. I love them so much!:

  • Beautycounter. Time to share some of my favorite new-to-me Beautycounter products! I’ve loved getting to try even more products since becoming a consultant, and wanted to give a shout-out to a few of those here:

Cleansing Balm: This stuff. Y’all. Talk about luxurious. It seems like a bit of a splurge purchase, BUT when you consider how little you use, it becomes much more reasonable. And it’s SO WORTH IT. It’s an amazing make-up remover plus skin moisturizer that leaves your face feeling so clean and nourished. I use this in the evening before bed (followed by the Rejuvenating Eye Cream and the Nourishing Night Cream) and am it’s incredible.

No. 2 Plumping Facial Mask: Part of the new Beautycounter+ line, I was so excited to try this new mask. I picked No. 2 because I wanted the firming and toning properties, and definitely feel like this mask delivers on that front. (Tip: Apply with a flat foundation brush to get nice, even coverage and to avoid using too much product. You’ll get more bang for your buck that way!)

Baby Gentle All-Over Wash: I’ve been so excited to try out Beautycounter’s baby line, and now that Maggie’s here I finally get to! My favorite product is definitely the All-Over Wash. I use it daily on Maggie in the bath and love that I can trust it to be safe and gentle on her brand new skin. She seems to love it, too! After I dry her off, I apply the Daily Protective Balm and Soothing Oil, too.

If you’re interested in purchasing any Beautycounter products, April is a great month to do it! Not only is Beautycounter running their own promotion, but I’m running one myself. It’s an awesome time to stock up on staples for yourself, try a new product or two, or snag a great Mother’s Day or baby shower gift! (Just be sure to make your purchase through my Beautycounter site to qualify.):

What beauty products have you discovered recently that are worth sharing? I’d love to hear about them!
