Graduation Weekend Festivities

Kevin is a Wake Forest MBA graduate! Wahoo!

We had the best time celebrating this momentous occasion with our families (both sets of parents and Kevin’s brother, Justin, were all in town) as well as with Kevin’s classmates (we hosted a cook-out at our place Monday night).

Highlights of the weekend included:

  • Kevin won an award! He received the Entrepreneurship Award for his class during a banquet on Saturday evening. We were so proud!:

  • Some of the best moments were the meals we shared while we were together. There was lots of laughing and good question-asking spent during these times around the table, and it was a good opportunity to try some new recipes. (This blueberry bread recipe is definitely a keeper!)

  • Hosting get togethers at our house is something Kevin and I love to do, and so it was so much fun to have fellow grads and their loved ones over to our place Monday night to celebrate. Despite the rain at the start of the night, it ended up being pretty nice out, and we served some new stuff (chicken apple sausages — delish!) alongside some old standby faves (a great summer salad and my family’s famous Panhandle Baked Beans recipe):

  • Kevin got a super cool new outfit, complete with a hood. Just his style:

Thanks to everyone who helped encourage and support us during these last two years while Kevin was in school. We’re so lucky to have such incredible friends and family. We love you!
