In honor of this sacred occasion, I thought I’d share some of the best Olympic-themed commercials I’ve seen so far. (I know we’ll be introduced to many more during the actual games, so this is a warm-up of sorts.):
“Hopeful” by DOW proves that even the planet has an Olympic dream:
AT&T’s “Warming Up” ad, featuring Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, and “Afternoon Run” with marathoner Ryan Hall, are both worth a watch:

In this Nintendo ad, Mario and Sonic make an appearance at the Games:
The super-speedy Usain Bolt (I still can’t get over how perfect his last name is) races around London in this Visa ad:
This McDonald’s UK ad is nice and heartwarming:
